CEC of Republic of Kazakhstan Announced Admission for Parliamentary Elections for Six Political Parties

On 5 November 2020, the meeting of the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan was held. The event was attended by representatives of the country’s political parties, the General Prosecutor's Office, the Ministries of Justice, Internal Affairs, Finances, Public Health; territorial election commissions joined the meeting via videoconferencing; the media representatives had online access.

Chairman of the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan Berik Imashev opened the meeting and told that the nomination of the party lists would start on 10 November.

According to the information of the Ministry of Justice, six political parties are registered in the Republic of Kazakhstan. Thus, the meeting of the Central Election Commission admitted all six parties to participate in the elections of the members of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan: Ak Zhol Democratic Party, Auyl People's Democratic Patriotic Party, Birlik Political Party (Adal), Communist People's Party of Kazakhstan, Nur Otan and Nationwide Social Democratic Party.

The regular elections to the Mazhilis of the Parliament and maslikhats of the Republic of Kazakhstan are scheduled for 10 January 2021.
