CIS Countries Celebrate New Year

This year the winter holidays in Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan last from 31 December to 4 January. In Armenia official days off are 31 December and 1-7 January. Belarus celebrates the New Year on 1-2 January, Kazakhstan celebrates the holiday on 1-4 January, Kyrgyzstan celebrates the holiday on 1-9 January, Tajikistan celebrates the New Year on 1-3 January. In Moldova, the festive day is 1 January. The winter holidays in Russia last from 31 December to 9 January.
