Cross-Border Cooperation was Discussed at Expanded Session of Council of Parliamentary Assembly of Union of Belarus and Russia

On 4 September, an expanded session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union of Belarus and Russia took place in Pskov. It was attended by heads of the lower chambers of the parliaments of the two countries – Vladimir Andreichenko and Vyacheslav Volodin.

During the meeting, the Speaker of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation stated the need to actively develop air and railway communication between the border regions of Belarus and Russia.

In turn, Vladimir Andreichenko made a proposal to develop a Model Law on Cross-Border Cooperation.

The parliamentarians also discussed the preparation of the draft budget of the Union State for next year.
