IPA CIS Remains One of Key Platforms of Interparliamentary Cooperation for Kyrgyz MPs

During the first session, members of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic attended 15 events of the IPA CIS. It is the highest indicator in the context of interparliamentary cooperation.

Kyrgyz MPs also worked at the venues of the TurkPA, the CSTO PA and other organizations.

The report on the activities of MPs for the first session of the VII convocation also contains detailed data on committees and factions on legislative activity, consideration of citizens’ appeals, meetings with voters, parliamentary requests, parliamentary control, etc.

According to the published information, 99 draft laws were received to the parliament from December 2021 to June 2022. 41 law was adopted, another 47 laws are under consideration, other have been rejected or forwarded to the initiator. Most of the laws have been adopted through the Committee on International Affairs, Defense, Security and Migration (17) and the Committee on Budget, Economic and Fiscal Policy (13).
