Kazakh Legislators Continued Work During Parliamentary Vacations

Speaker of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Maulen Ashimbayev on his Facebook page drew the outcomes of the closing session of the chamber and told about the senators’ activities during the “parliamentary vacations”.
Maulen Ashimbayev noted that the MPs primarily provided the legislative framework for all initiatives of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to counter the spread of COVID-19 pandemic and restore the economy.
Due to the restrictions introduced during the pandemic, the senators have to abandon traditional meetings with the citizens, but their activities continue in permitted formats. The MPs attend city and district hospitals, meet with the medical staff, contribute to solving the problems of citizens and local clinics, resolve the shortage of medicines and medical equipment, by involving government agencies and providing personal funds.
