Kazakh Senators Outlined Main Areas of Work for Next Session

Today, a meeting of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan presided by head of the chamber Maulen Ashimbayev summed up the results of work in the regions during the parliamentary holidays and outlined plans for the next period.

On 1 September 2021, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev in his speech at the opening of the regular session of the Parliament announced the priority areas of the country’s development. The head of state paid special attention to the development of the social sphere. According to Maulen Ashimbayev, the Senate will carry out systematic and comprehensive work on legislative support of the priorities outlined in the President’s speech.

In particular, Maulen Ashimbayev noted the urgent problems of providing access to potable water, support of health care systems, education and business. According to the Speaker, by the end of the year, the Senate would adopt additional legislative amendments providing for the effective use of the National Fund and the budget and address the development of the science and agglomerations.
