Kyrgyz Republic Mourns Victims of Coronavirus Infection

Today, the Kyrgyz Republic declared the Day of National Mourning of the citizens deceased in the pandemic. The state flags in the country and at the diplomatic and consular missions were flown at half-staff.

Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh Dastanbek Dzhumabekov expressed deep sorrow over the loss of many fellow citizens and the condolences to their nearest and dearest on behalf of the parliament and his own behalf.

The Speaker recalled how quickly the coronavirus infection had spread in the world, and noted that the epidemiological situation in the Kyrgyz Republic remained difficult. At the same time, due to the cohesion of civil society, the efforts of doctors and state bodies, it was possible to take the situation under control.

The Speaker also addressed the medical workers, thanking them for their courage and loyalty to the profession, and praised the volunteers who helped the population of the Republic day and night in the fight against a common enemy.
