Mazhilis of Parliament of Republic of Kazakhstan Adopted Several Laws to Support Reforms

Members of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, chaired by Speaker of the chamber Erlan Koshanov, defined the main directions of legislative work in the near future, taking into account the priorities that President of the country Kassym-Jomart Tokayev outlined in his Address to the People of Kazakhstan at the opening of the session.

According to the Speaker, particular attention would be paid to modernizing the tax and budget system, increasing the efficiency of using budgetary funds, improving the mechanisms of public-private partnership and public procurement, as well as solving the problem of lack of credit resources for domestic business.

In addition, the Mazhilis will begin work on improving the Criminal Code and the Code of Criminal Procedure and adopting the Town Planning Code.
