Nurlan Nigmatulin Speaks in Favor of Strengthening Cooperation of MPs With Expert Community in Law-Making

Today, Speaker of the Mazhilis of the Parliament o the Republic of Kazakhstan Nurlan Nigmatulin met with prominent Kazakh political scientists and experts and discussed further cooperation.

The Speaker of the lower chamber stressed that the Mazhilis was always open for civil society and constructive proposals, and noted the experience of experts’ participation in the drafting of laws.

First of all, these include the laws to improve the social and economic areas, the laws on implementation of the political reforms proposed by the President. According to the Speaker, the proposals and opinions of Kazakh experts are important for the preparation of high-quality laws aimed at developing the country and improving the well-being of Kazakhstan citizens.

Speaking about the priority areas of the legislative activity at the upcoming session, the Speaker of the Mazhilis stressed the importance of providing legislative support for the implementation of the Address of the Head of State to be delivered by Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev at the opening of the parliamentary session.

Nurlan Nigmatulin expressed confidence that the constructive cooperation between the MPs and the expert community would result in the adoption of high-quality draft laws with due account of a variety of opinions.
