Outcomes of Youth Parliament Activities Summed Up in Uzbekistan

Today, the accountability session of the Youth Parliament at the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan brought together senators, members of the Youth Parliament and representatives of the media.
Speaker of the Senate Tanzila Narbaeva addressed the session. She noted the measures taken in the country in order to support young people and proving opportunities to realize their talents, including the establishment of the Youth Council, Agency for Youth Affairs, youth parliaments at both chambers of the Oliy Majlis, Youth Academy at the Ministry of Innovative Development.
Speaker of the Youth Parliament Mokhistara Muhammadyunusova informed the session participants on the work of the Youth Parliament in the regions, communication of the young people’s problems to the general public and the Oliy Majlis and involving young people in the law-making activity.
The session also discussed the work carried out by the Parliament in 2020 and outlined the priority issues for 2021, which will focus on increased legal awareness of the youth, ensuring youth employment and recreational opportunities.
