Republic of Belarus Celebrates Constitution Day

Constitution Day is celebrated in the Republic of Belarus. The Basic Law of the country was adopted 30 years ago – on 15 March 1994.
On 27 February 2022, a referendum was held in the republic, at which amendments and additions to the Constitution were adopted. The supreme representative body of the people's power becomes the All-Belarusian People's Assembly, which will approve the foundations of domestic and foreign policy, military doctrine, the concept of national security, as well as decide on the legitimacy of elections.
Currently, the Constitution of Belarus contains 9 sections, 9 chapters and 156 articles.
Traditionally, on the eve and on Constitution Day itself, meetings with labor collectives, thematic events, exhibitions, as well as the presentation of passports to young citizens of the Republic of Belarus are held in the republic.
