Republic of Kazakhstan Celebrates Constitution Day

The Constitution Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan is a public holiday. The current Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan was adopted through a referendum on 30 August 1995 and amended several times in 1998, 2007, 2011, 2017, and 2019.

On 5 June 2022, a republican referendum was held in Kazakhstan, within the framework of which amendments and additions to the Constitution were adopted.

In his congratulatory message, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said that as a result of the constitutional reform of 2022, a comprehensive process of democratisation had been launched and conditions for the modernisation of the political system had been created.
