Republic of Tajikistan Celebrates Independence Day

According to the legislation of the Republic of Tajikistan, 9 September is a holiday in the country in connection with the celebration of the Independence Day of the Republic of Tajikistan.
On 9 September 1991, at the meeting of the Supreme Assembly of the Republic of Tajikistan the Statement on State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Decree on Proclamation of State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan were adopted. Thus, the sovereign state of Tajikistan appeared on the political map of the world.
