Russian Federation Celebrates Day of National Flag

Every year on 22 August, the Russian Federation celebrates the Day of the National Flag of Russia, established based on the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation of 20 August 1994. On 25 December 2000, President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin signed the Federal Constitutional Law on the National Flag of the Russian Federation, according to which the flag is a rectangular panel of three equal horizontal stripes: the top is white, the middle is blue and the bottom is red.
