Russian MPs Approved Draft Law on Creation of Travel Agents Register

On 16 March 2021, the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation adopted the draft Law on Amendments to the Federal Law on the Fundamentals of Tourist Activities in the Russian Federation.
The document provides for the unification of travel agents in a special register to ensure a safe and quality vacation for tourists. The Federal Agency for Tourism will maintain this register.
According to the press service of the chamber, the Law will come into force on 1 January 2022.
