Russian Senators Met With Members of Chamber of Young Legislators under Federation Council

On 18 March 2021, Russian senators, headed by Deputy Speaker of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Konstantin Kosachev, met with members of the Chamber of Young Legislators at the upper house of parliament.

During his speech, Konstantin Kosachev raised issues related to the current international situation. In particular, he noted that relations between Russia and the United States were at the lowest point over the past three decades. According to the Deputy Speaker, the objective competitive advantages that had been on the West for a long time were becoming less and less visible.

According to the press service of the chamber, at the end of his speech, Konstantin Kosachev answered the questions from the members of the Chamber of Young Legislators. In particular, these questions concerned the further prospects of Russian-American relations, the participation of Russia in the PACE, the IPU activities, Russia’s relations with the former USSR countries, etc.
