Rustami Emomali Elected Chair of Majlisi Milli of Majlisi Oli of Republic of Tajikistan

The first session of the seventh convocation of the Majlisi Milli of the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan was held today.

Rustami Emomali was elected Chair of the upper house of the Parliament of the Republic of Tajikistan. During the session, the candidates for Deputy Chairs were also approved.

President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon addressed the members of the Majlisi Milli, congratulating them on their election and wishing them success. He emphasized the importance of close cooperation between parliamentarians, government bodies, and the public.

The President called for the development of legislation aimed at strengthening national independence, security, and political stability, and supporting long-term development goals in the fields of economy, society, culture, education, healthcare, rural infrastructure, and sustainable use of land and natural resources.

He highlighted the important role of the Majlisi Milli in strengthening state sovereignty, advancing various areas of public life, and improving the national legal system, expressing confidence that the newly elected members would use their knowledge and experience to achieve these goals.
