Successful Interaction Noted at Meeting of Parliamentarians of Russia and Tajikistan on Platform of IPA CIS

The 11^th meeting of the Commission for Cooperation between the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation and the Majlisi Milli Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan was held. The parties discussed issues of academic and educational cooperation.

The event was held by the co-chairs of the Commission - Deputy Speaker of the Federation Council Nikolai Zhuravlev and First Deputy Speaker of the Majlisi Milli Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan Rajabboy Ahmadzoda.

Nikolai Zhuravlev noted the intensive dialogue between the presidents of Russia and Tajikistan and the ongoing successful practice of interaction between parliamentary delegations at authoritative international platforms, including the IPA CIS, the Inter-Parliamentary Union, and the PA CSTO.

Nikolai Zhuravlev expressed hope that representatives of Tajikistan would take part in the X Nevsky International Ecological Congress, which will be held on 25-26 May 2023 in the Tavricheskiy Palace, the IPA CIS headquarters.

Rajabboy Ahmadzoda reported that inter-parliamentary Russian-Tajik relations over the past year had reached a qualitatively new level. Representatives of Tajikistan count on their further strengthening and development of the entire range of bilateral relations.

Also it was noted that the next meeting of the Commission will be held in the Republic of Tajikistan.
