Armenia celebrates the Day of the First Republic

The Republic of Armenia celebrates the independence day. This important date for Armenian people took place on 28 May 1918 – the Armenian National Council in Tiflis declared the independence of the Republic of Armenia with the capital in Yerevan. That day the First Republic emerged. The independent Armenian state existed in that form until 2 December 1920.
