Belarus and Kyrgyzstan celebrate the centenary of October revolution

On 7 November, Belarus and Kyrgyzstan saw nation-wide celebrations of the October revolution.

The revolution took place on 7 November (25 October) 1917. The Provisional Government had been overthrown by the Military Revolutionary Committee in Petrograd.

During the Soviet times 7 November was a public holiday marked with demonstrations of the working people in every city of the country.
