Managing youth leisure is a challenge for civil and public institutions alike. Lack of leisure opportunities for youth and adolescents may lead to the disruption of social bonds, disconnect of the youth from the social mainstream, loss of bearings and values as they live out their lives.
The challenge for the Government is to manage youth leisure in a way to open up their talent and keep them at a safe distance from crime.
