Independence Day in Kyrgyzstan

On 31 August 1991, the Jogorku Kenesh adopted the Declaration of Independence of the Kyrgyz Republic.
According to this historical document, the Kyrgyz Republic became an independent, sovereign, democratic state.
Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan, is holding concerts, sport contests and other events on the occasion. In the evening, fireworks will light up the skies of Kyrgyzstan.
