MPs of Republic of Uzbekistan Analyze Prospects for Cooperation with EEU

According to the Senate of the Oliy Majlis press-service, the upper house established an ad-hoc working group in order to examine in detail the prospects of cooperation between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) and its implications for the Republic’s national interests.

The examination process will take place with the participation of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis, the Chamber of Ministers and the relevant ministries and agencies of the Republic.

Based on the directions from the address of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the parliament, the working group will examine in detail the proposals of the Chamber of Ministers and other materials, organize a wide discussion and prepare a conclusion.

The discussion of the advantages and possible implications of the EEU-Uzbekistan cooperation is also taking place in the committees of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis.
