The Russian Federation celebrates the Constitution Day

It has been 22 years since Russia adopted its main law in 1993 after the national vote. On 25 December the law came into force.
This is the most important document that laid the foundation of the state and civil society development and that contributes a lot to social relations, strengthening peace and harmony.
According to chairperson of the IPA CIS Council Valentina Matvienko, the main law laid down the long-term democratic principle of the state. It has become the nucleus of the Russian legal system and ensures stability of the country at the turn of the century. The Constitution has been the solid foundation for numerous reforms, modernization of economy, and large-scale social transformations.
