Valentina Matvienko had a meeting with Pandikar Amin Mulia

Chairperson of the IPA CIS Council, Speaker of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Valentina Matvienko paid an official visit to Malaysia and had a meeting with Speaker of the House of Representatives Pandikar Amin Mulia. The parties discussed the outlook for broadening interparliamentary cooperation.

"We are planning to deepen our cooperation with Malaysia including the one in the parliamentary area. Our relations develop progressively and essentially, but their potential has not been fully unleashed", said Valentina Matvienko.

The IPA CIS Council Chairperson, Speaker of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation also emphasized active cooperation with Malaysian parliamentarians under the umbrella of the Association of South East Asian Nations, the Asia Pacific Parliamentary Forum, East Asia Summit and on the venue of the Interparliamentary Assembly of Member Nations of the Commonwealth of Independent States.
