The IPA CIS Council Chairperson held talks with the President of the Senate of the Malaysian Parliament

As a part of her official visit to Malaysia, IPA CIS Council Chairperson, Speaker of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Valentina Matvienko met with President of the Upper House of the Parliament of Malaysia Abu Zahar Ujiang. The parties discussed the outlook for interparliamentary cooperation.
Valentina Matveinko thanked Abu Zahar Ujiang for the constructive cooperation on international parliamentary venues.
According to the Chairperson of the IPA CIS Council, the visit to Malaysia is important for building interparliamentary cooperation, an important element of intrrgovernmental relations; it also helps to build trust and to develop broder engagement.
