84th Session of CIS Economic Council Takes Place in Moscow

Moscow hosted the 84^th Session of the CIS Economic Council which brought together Vice Prime Ministers responsible for the economic policies.

According to the press office of the CIS Executive Committee, the agenda featured the issues related to various spheres of economic cooperation between the CIS Member Nations. The session was chaired by Vice-President of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Gochmyrat Myradov.

The Heads of delegations of the CIS Member Nations primarily approved the draft Strategy of the CIS Economic Development until 2030 and recommended to finalize the document.

The draft CIS Forecast on Energy Production and Consumption until 2030, the new version of Provisions for the CIS Award on Quality of Products and Services and several other documents were signed at the meeting.

The next 85^th meeting of the CIS Economic Council is scheduled for 13 March in Moscow. On the same day the CIS International Economic Forum is expected to take place.
