CIS Representatives Discussed Cooperation in Field of Labor Protection

The CIS Executive Committee in Minsk (Republic of Belarus) hosted the meetings of working groups of experts on drafting the Recommendations on Assessment of Working Conditions at Workplace and the Requirements for Oversight and Monitoring Compliance with Legislation on Labor Protection.

The meetings were attended by representatives of the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Tajikistan, the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as the Research Institute of Labor of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Republic of Belarus, Belarusian National Technical University and the CIS Executive Committee.

After discussing proposals to the above-mentioned documents, the working groups considered it to be appropriate to adopt them at the level of the CIS Advisory Board on Labor, Migration and Welfare and to propose the IPA CIS to include both drafts to the Long-Term Plan of Model Law-Making of the CIS for 2020-2022.

Moreover, the experts decided to request the CIS Advisory Board on Cooperation in the Field of Public Health to contribute and, if needed, draft the Recommendations on Assessment of Working Conditions at Workplace.

It is expected that the adoption of these documents will contribute to develop the labor protection policy and social insurance, generate employment, preserve and develop the current working conditions, ensure the workers’ safety and health, raise the labor quality and competitiveness.
