Amendments to Agreement on Investigation of Accidents at Work Abroad Agreed

On 28 March, a meeting of the working group on preparation of amendments to the Agreement on the procedure for investigating industrial accidents that happen to employees while they were outside the state of residence. Work on the draft Protocol containing adjustments has been completed, the document is sent for consideration by the CIS Advisory Board on Labor, Employment and Social Security.

The document clarifies the concepts of “accident at work”, “employer” and “business trip”, a definition of the term “employee” is introduced, and there is an article on the procedure for exchange of information about an accident at work between labour inspectorates of the CIS Member Nations.
