CIS Council of Permanent Plenipotentiary Representatives Held Regular Meeting

On 27 October 2020, the CIS Executive Committee hosted a regular meeting of the CIS Council of Permanent Plenipotentiary Representatives at the Statutory and other Bodies of the Commonwealth under the chairmanship of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The participants discussed the information on the activities of the CIS Humanitarian Action Trust Fund. The Council members noted the important role of the Fund in the preservation and development of the common humanitarian space of the Commonwealth, the creation and support of the permanent mechanisms for the interaction between states in the humanitarian field, the implementation of the significant multilateral projects in the main areas of humanitarian cooperation.

During the meeting, the CIS Permanent Plenipotentiary Representatives focused on the preparations for the regular meeting of the CIS Council of Heads of Government to be held online on 6 November.

Furthermore, the CIS Permanent Plenipotentiary Representatives discussed the participation of the Commonwealth in the XXVIII Minsk International Book Fair. The event should play an important role in strengthening mutually beneficial international relations in the field of publishing, distribution and printing of books.

According to the press service of the CIS Executive Committee, the next meeting of the CIS Council of Permanent Plenipotentiary Representatives at the Statutory and other Bodies of the Commonwealth is scheduled for 24 November.
