CIS Experts Agreed on Draft Cooperation Agreement on Sanitary Protection of the Territories

On 18 June 2020, an additional meeting of the expert group on drafting and alignment of the Draft CIS Cooperation Agreement on Sanitary Protection of the Territories was held via video-conferencing.

The meeting brought together the representatives of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and the CIS Executive Committee.

The experts considered the comments and proposals to the draft Agreement and finalized the document. It was decided to submit it for the consideration of the Council of the CIS Heads of Government.

The CIS Cooperation Agreement on Sanitary Protection of the Territories is aimed at the prevention of importation and spread of quarantinable and especially dangerous infectious diseases, as well as goods and cargo. The document is expected to contribute to the strengthening of cooperation in the field of public health, ensure coordination of state epidemiological and hygienic measures on sanitary protection of territories.
