CIS Experts Discussed Uniform Principles for Development of Professional Standards

On 23 July 2020, the meeting of the working group on preparation of the draft proposals on the uniform principles of the development of professional standards for the CIS took place via videoconferencing.

The event brought together the representatives of Armenia, Belarus, Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, the Scientific and Research Institute of Labour of the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Republic of Belarus – the base CIS institution for the methodological, organizational and technological support of the activities related to labor standardizing, Belarusian National Technical University – the base institution for preparation, retraining and advanced training of the work standardizing staff, as well as the CIS Executive Committee.

According to the CIS Executive Committee press-service, the working group considered the amendments to the draft List of Terms and Concepts for Development of Professional Standards, which was the annex to the CIS Recommendations on Structure of Professional Standard. The experts adopted the document as a whole and considered additional development of a number of terms and concepts.

During the discussion on the draft Regulation on the CIS Information Source of the National Qualifications Systems developed by the Russian side, the participants proposed creating similar sources in each Member Nation and posting links to them on the websites of the base institutions.

It was also decided to hold an additional meeting of the working group in September to prepare the include the draft List in the agenda of the 33rd meeting of the CIS Advisory Board on Labor, Migration and Welfare.
