CIS Experts Finalized Document on Cooperation During Sanitary and Epidemiological Emergency

The working group finalized and approved the Draft Agreement on Cooperation between the CIS Member Nations on prevention of and response to sanitary-epidemiological emergency situations in the field of public health. The document will be submitted to the CIS Advisory Board on Cooperation in the Field of Public Health.

The meeting was attended by representatives of the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Republic of Moldova, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Tajikistan, the Republic of Uzbekistan and the CIS Executive Committee. 

The Draft Agreement was prepared with due account to the WHO Strategy for Implementation of the International Health Regulations (2005) and the Fight Against Infectious Diseases.

The document outlines the main areas of work and conditions for the use of mobile counter-epidemic units on the CIS territories.
