CSTO to Develop Concept of Cooperation on Countering Modern Combined Forms of Destructive Impact

The first meeting of the working group on the development of the Concept of the CSTO Member States Cooperation on Countering Modern Combined Forms of Destructive Impact on the CSTO Member States took place in the Secretariat of the Collective Security Treaty Organization.

The event was attended by CSTO Secretary General Stanislav Zas. During his speech, the Secretary General noted that the increasing challenges and threats to global security in the modern era forced the CSTO Member States to act in a coherent and vigorous way. He reminded that these challenges and threats were mentioned directly in the CSTO Collective Security Strategy until 2025 adopted in by the heads of the six CSTO Member States in Yerevan in 2016.

Stanislav Zas also emphasized that the members of the working group were tasked with developing universal document that would define the future directions of the CSTO joint efforts to counter the threats for the sovereignty and security of its Members in a new era.
