Cross-Border Telemedicine System to Be Introduced in CIS in 2023

On 9 September 2021, the meeting of the Working Group on Integration of CIS National E-Healthcare Systems took place on the margins of the Belarusian Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education. The main topic of the event was the development of the CIS Roadmap on Telemedicine.

The event was attended by Executive Secretary of the CIS Expert Advisory Board – CIS Regional Commonwealth in the Field of Communications Alexander Surygin, Coordinator of the Digital Health Division of Country Health Policies and Systems of the WHO Regional Bureau for Europe Clayton Hamilton, and Deputy Director-General of the Executive Committee of the CIS Regional Commonwealth in the Field of Communications Natalya Zorya.

According to the press service of the CIS Executive Committee, the participants discussed the Roadmap for the CIS cross-border telemedicine cooperation development. The experts suggest that an automated cross-border telemedicine consultation system can be put into permanent operation in 2023.
