Development of State Youth Policy Discussed in Baku

On 20 December, the IPA CIS Council Secretariat together with the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan organized a roundtable “State Youth Policy as a Factor of Civil Society Development”. The event was held at the Russian House in Baku.

The roundtable was attended by Milli Majlis members, representatives of ministries and state structures, non-governmental organizations, academia and others.

The event was opened by Director of the Baku Office of the International Institute for Monitoring Democracy Development, Parliamentarianism and Suffrage Protection of Citizens of IPA CIS Member Nations (IPA CIS IIMDD) Ramin Rzayev.

Member of the Committee of the Milli Majlis of the Azerbaijan Republic for Law Policy and State-Building, Member of the Committee of the Milli Majlis of the Azerbaijan Republic on Defense, Security and Counter-Corruption, Chair of the IPA CIS Permanent Commission on Social Policy and Human Rights Nizami Safarov and Deputy Secretary General of the IPA CIS Council – Plenipotentiary Representative of the Milli Majlis of the Azerbaijan Republic Aydin Jafarov also spoke at the event.

At the end of the event an awarding ceremony was held. On behalf of Secretary General of the Council of the IPA CIS Dmitriy Kobitskiy, Aydin Jafarov awarded Head of the Non-Olympic Sports Sector of the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Azerbaijan Aydin Mammadov and Chair of the Board of the Association of Azerbaijan Tourism Agencies Goydeniz Gahramanov, with the IPA CIS honorary Badge “For Merits in the Development of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism”.

Staff member of the Baku Office of the IPA CIS IIMDD Ramzi Yusifov was awarded a commemorative sign “IPA CIS.30 years” for special merits in the development and strengthening of parliamentarianism, contribution to the development and improvement of the legal framework of the CIS, strengthening international relations and inter-parliamentary development.
