Experts Discussed Draft Plan of Events Dedicated to 30th Anniversary of CIS

On 13 July 2020, an additional meeting of the expert group to approve the draft Plan of Events Dedicated to the 30th Anniversary of the Commonwealth of Independent States was held at the CIS Executive Committee in Minsk via video-conferencing.

The meeting brought together the representatives of the Azerbaijan Republic, the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Republic of Moldova, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Tajikistan, the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as the CIS Intergovernmental Fund for Humanitarian Cooperation, the CIS Interstate Statistical Committee, the CIS Economic Development Centre and the CIS Executive Committee.

Deputy Head of the Department for Model Lawmaking in the Sphere of Security and International Legal Cooperation Igor Borovko represented the IPA CIS at this event.

The experts considered the amendments to the Plan of Events and adopted the amendments by a majority of the votes.

Following the meeting, the experts decided to submit the draft Plan of Events for consideration by the CIS Economic Council, and all the materials of the additional meeting for approval at a national level.
