Experts From Commonwealth Countries Discussed Issues of Medical Insurance for Migrant Workers and Their Family Members

An additional meeting of the expert group was held in Minsk to coordinate the draft Agreement on cooperation between the CIS countries on health insurance for migrant workers and members of their families.

The meeting was attended by representatives of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, the CIS Executive Committee, as well as Secretary of the IPA CIS Permanent Commission on Social Policy and Human Rights Evgenia Vladimirova and representative of the Council Secretariat of the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly in the CIS Executive Committee Igor Borovko.

At the meeting, the comments and suggestions received on the draft Agreement were discussed, and the importance and relevance of the document being developed within the framework of the Commonwealth were noted.

It is planned that the draft Agreement will be submitted to the Council of Heads of Government of the Commonwealth of Independent States in due course.
