Cooperation Agreement Signed with National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan

Secretary General of the IPA CIS Council Dmitriy Kobitskiy and Vice President of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan Ilkhom Amonzoda signed an Agreement on Cooperation between the organisations.
The document provides for various forms of interaction, including participation in the development of model legislative acts, their expert assessment, joint scientific and practical conferences, symposiums and seminars, as well as the implementation of joint scientific projects.
Dmitriy Kobitskiy noted the importance of cooperation with the scientific community for the IPA CIS. He expressed confidence that the joint work following that day’s signing would be interesting and useful for both sides.
The Secretary General also informed the representatives of the Academy that a Scientific and Educational Congress of the CIS countries would be held at the Assembly headquarters in St. Petersburg in the autumn and invited Tajik scientists to participate in the event.
Ilkhom Amonzoda spoke about the work of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan. It currently has 28 institutes and agencies, employing around two thousand people, including 1,400 researchers.
The interlocutors discussed issues of scientific cooperation in the Commonwealth, in particular work on the development of scientometric indices.
The event was attended by Deputy Secretary General of the IPA CIS Council – Plenipotentiary Representative of the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan Abdukhalil Gafurzoda Deputy Head of the IPA CIS Council Secretariat – Director of the International Institute for Monitoring the Democracy Development, Parliamentarianism and Suffrage Protection of Citizens of IPA CIS Member Nations (IPA CIS IIMDD), Doctor of Law, Professor Ivan Mushket, Advisor to the IPA CIS Council Secretary General Sergey Karavaev, and Head of the Department of Analysis and Election Monitoring of the IPA CIS IIMDD Roman Amburtsev.
