Report on IPA CIS Model Law-Making Presented at Conference “30th Anniversary of the Commonwealth of Independent States”

Today, the international research and practice conference “30th Anniversary of the Commonwealth of Independent States: Results and Prospects” continued its work. Secretary of the IPA CIS Permanent Commission on Science and Education, Executive Secretary of the IPA CIS – Regional Commonwealth in the Field of Communications Expert Council Alexander Surygin delivered a report at the event.

The participants were briefed on the organization of work on the IPA CIS model laws and recommendations, as well as on the Long-Term Plan of Model Law-Making of the CIS for 2020-2022 that regulates the IPA CIS activity.

Alexander Surygin reminded that in total the IPA CIS had developed and adopted over 600 different documents, including 80 in the field of science and education.

Besides, the Secretary noted the Model Recommendations on Nanotechnology Ethics , on the Improvement of Education Standards in the CIS Member Nations and on Ethic and Legal Regulation and Security Aspects of Genetic Medical Techniques in CIS Member Nations.

Speaking about promising areas of the model law-making, the Secretary of the IPA CIS Permanent Commission highlighted such relevant areas as information and communication technologies, digitalization, and distance education.
