XVI Forum of Creative and Scientific Intellectuals of CIS Member Nations to be Held in Bishkek

On 12-13 September, the capital of the Kyrgyz Republic will host the XVI Forum of Creative and Scientific Intellectuals of the CIS Member Nations. More than 200 delegates from the CIS countries are expected to take part in the event.
The theme of the Forum this year will be “Though Interaction of Cultures – Towards Cooperation and Peace”.
At plenary sessions and relevant sections representatives of academia, education and art will discuss new formats of cooperation in education, youth initiatives in the field of volunteer movement, formation of intercultural dialogue.
The key panel discussion will be devoted to the main theme of 2023 in the CIS, declared the Year of the Russian Language as a Language of Interethnic Communication. One of the discussions will be dedicated to the works of Chingiz Aitmatov and his influence on the spiritual and moral worldview of modern reality.
A session of the Council of Heads of State Information Agencies (Informsovet) and a roundtable of Heads of the CIS Theater Unions will take place on the sidelines of the Forum for the first time.
The Forums of Creative and Scientific Intellectuals are the main humanitarian events of the year in the Commonwealth. They are held on a rotating basis in the capitals of the CIS countries.
The forum is organized by the Interstate Fund for Humanitarian Cooperation of the CIS Member Nations and the Ministry of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy of the Kyrgyz Republic.
