CIS Executive Committee discussed the draft CIS Agreement on the Principles of Alignment of Legislation in the field of Employment and Labor Migration

The meeting of the CIS Executive Committee brought together plenipotentiary representatives and experts of the Commonwealth, as well as representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, and the CIS Executive Committee officials. Yuriy Andreev took part in the work of the expert group on behalf of the IPA CIS Council Secretariat.

Director of the Department for Humanitarian Cooperation, General Political and Social Problems, CIS Executive Committee, Vladimir Kiku opened the meeting.

The participants of the event discussed remarks and amendments to the draft CIS Agreement on the Principles of Alignment of Legislation in the field of Employment and Labor Migration received from Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan.

According to the CIS Executive Committee press-service, as an outcome of the meeting the expert group decided to propose to the CIS Executive Committee to:

-          distribute materials of the meeting across the CIS member nations;

-          submit a proposal to the Advisory Board on Labor, Migration and Social Protection of the Population of the CIS Member States to continue the work on the approval of the draft agreement.
