CIS Experts will discuss draft documents on cooperation of the Commonwealth countries in the field of public health

Meeting of the Board of Experts on Improvement and Approval of Draft Documents on CIS Cooperation in the Field of Public Health will be held on 24-25 August 2017 in Minsk.

The meeting is expected to consider two documents: the Action Plan on the Implementation of the CIS Strategy for People's Health and the Provisions on the CIS Base Healthcare Institution, the CIS Executive Committee press-service reports.

The CIS Strategy for People's Health is intended to provide additional support to countries in the harmonization of national health strategies. The need for its adoption is due to the unfavorable demographic situation in the CIS countries.

The Central Research Institute for Organization and Digitization of Healthcare of the Ministry of Public Health of the Russian Federation is expected to play the role of the CIS Base Healthcare Institution.
