Draft Statement of the CIS Member Nations on the 25th Anniversary of the CIS was approved in Minsk

The CIS Execom press service reports that the capital of Belarus hosted the meeting of the expert group on drafting the Statement of the CIS Member Nations on the 25th Anniversary of the CIS.

Deputy Chairman of Execom – Deputy Executive Secretary of the CIS Vladimir Garkun opened the meeting. The meeting was presided by Permanent Plenipotentiary Representative of the Kyrgyz Republic to Charter and Other Bodies of the Commonwealth, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kyrgyzstan to Belarus Kubanychbek Omuraliyev.

The experts considered member nations' comments and proposals, refined and approved the draft Statement and related decisions of the Council of MFAs and the IPA CIS Council. The CIS Execom received a proposal to submit the documents of the meeting for the approval by the member nations and further consideration of the Statement, in due course, during the regular meeting of the CIS Council of Heads of State.
