Experts will discuss the documents on cooperation in the field of public health in Minsk

On 16-17 January 2018, the meeting of the expert group on the alignment of draft documents concerning the cooperation of the CIS countries in the field of public health will take place at the CIS Executive Committee in Minsk.

According to the press office of the CIS Executive Committee, the meeting is expected to consider two documents. One of them is the Plan of Actions on Implementing the CIS Strategy for People's Health for 2018-2019. Adopted by the CIS heads of government in June 2016, the Strategy was designed to enhance the alignment of national strategies and plans in the field of public health, so that health care frameworks could provide for a full range of diagnostic and treatment services and join the efforts of all stakeholders.

The second document to be drafted by the experts is the Draft CIS Provisions on the Basic Public Health Care Providers and Information. The relevant status of a basic public health care provider has been proposed for the Federal Research Institute for Health Care Organization and Informatization at the Ministry of Public Health of the Russian Federation.

The Institute will provide methodological, informational, logistical and organizational support for the activities of the international network of public health institutions recommended by the CIS ministries of health, coordinate and analyze the performance results within the Plan of Actions on Implementing the CIS Strategy for People's Health and promoting the cooperation between the CIS Member States and the World Health Organization.
