Integration cooperation discussed in Moscow

The Economic Policies Commission at the CIS Economic Council held its regular session in Moscow. It was attended by plenipotentiary representatives in the Commission from the CIS countries and by members of CIS intergovernmental bodies. The session was led by plenipotentiary representative of the Kyrgyz Republic Zina Asankozhoeva.
The participants discussed a wide range of issues related to integration cooperation. In particular they focused on the implementation of the Free Trade Zone Agreement of 18 October 2011 and issues of developing agricultural policies of the CIS countries. The Commission members also analysed the implementation of joint measures aimed at prevention of hoof-and-mouth disease up to 2020 and touched upon the epizootic situation and land reclamation in the CIS countries.
The Commission members also discussed draft agreement on information exchange to control customs value of the goods in the CIS, familiarized themselves with the Russian experience in developing competitive policies and involving anti-trust bodies for tackling social and economic issues, analyzed amendments to the programme of land reclamation after uranium mining industry impact.
After taking into consideration all the observations, the draft documents will be submitted for approval by the CIS Economic Council.
