International conference on war legacy in Minsk

International symposium War Heritage and Present Challenges dedicated to the 70th Anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War was held in Minsk at the Institute for Border Service of the Republic of Belarus. The conference was organized by the State Committee on Border Security of Belarus and the Joint Chiefs of Border Guard.

350 guests attended the conference. They focused on the role and contribution of border guard corps in the Victory. Yuriy Andreyev, IPA CIS Council Secretariat representative, briefed the guests on the related IPA CIS commemorative efforts, namely the recent initiatives – the Green Wave and the Living Memories Tour.
