Sergey Lebedev: "Run-up to the Victory celebrations, a landmark moment for the Commonwealth nations"

“All the CIS countries have done a lot to prepare for celebrating this great occasion”, said Sergey Lebedev at the session of the Council of Plenipotentiaries of the CIS Member Nations yesterday.

Facing the 70th Victory Anniversary, two years ago the CIS committed to enhancing guarantees and social benefits for the veterans. With better support available, more veterans can improve living conditions, get fuel for home heating and connect to landlines easier.

In line with the Action Plan adopted on 17 April 2014, the IPA CIS organized a number of commemorative activities. One of them is the Living Memories Tour which is nearing its final on 16 April.

On 17 April, the IPA CIS will hold its commemorative plenary session at its headquarters.
