Issues of information exchange in the field of combating terrorism and extremism discussed in Minsk

According to the official website of the CIS Executive Committee, the meeting of the expert group of the approval the draft Agreement on Information Exchange in the Field of Combating Terrorism and other Violent Forms of Extremism and their Financing took place in Minsk on 6-7 December.

The document is aimed at further strengthening of international cooperation in this field and increasing its efficiency. The agreement stipulates the exchange of information at no fee, ensuring compliance with legal regulations on information systems, including the intergovernmental systems, as well as sustainable protection of classified information.

It is expected that the specialized database of the CIS Anti-Terrorist Center would become the intergovernmental information system for combating terrorism and other violent forms of extremism and their financing.

The information exchange will be carried out by the competent authorities.
