On 14 June the meeting of the CIS Economic Council will take place in Moscow. The agenda includes a range of issues on the CIS economic cooperation.

According to the press office of the CIS Executive Committee, the meeting will discuss the key macroeconomic targets of the CIS countries in 2017. The participants are expected to share views on the implementation of the CIS 2020 Long-Term Economic Development Strategy and the Action Plan on the implementation of its third stage (2016-2020), as well as the competition in the economy-class housing market across the CIS.

The participants of the meeting will review the Draft CIS Cooperation Agreement on Preparedness to Nuclear Accidents or Radiation Emergencies and Mutual Relief Measures to Eliminate their Consequences, the Draft CIS Cooperation Agreement on Prevention and Elimination of Sources of Diseases and Forest Pests in the Border Areas, the Draft Protocol on amendments to the Agreement on Cooperation in the field of Copyright Protection of 24 September 1993.

The meeting will consider the Draft Concept of CIS Cooperation on the Development of Production of High-Technology Energy Equipment and the Action Plan on its implementation, the Draft CIS Concept on Harmonization of National Systems of Air Traffic.

The members of the CIS Economic Council will also discuss the Provisions on the Main Contact Center of the Operator of 2020 CIS Intergovernmental Program of Innovative Cooperation and the new version of the CIS Provisions on the Interlibrary Enrollment Certificate and the System of Document Delivery.

The agenda will also focus on the issue of the base CIS institution in the field of education, retraining and professional upgrade of road-traffic specialists.
